No other tune even came close to making #1...Nancy Sinatra's ascension to the top o' the heap in '66 capped a nice promotional effort by father Frank's Reprise label to establish daughter Nancy's popularity with the kids. Especially the boys, who liked her knockout looks and signature white go-go boots.
